Completed..........Barton Under Needwood Parish Registers

Post by Pudsey to Howard »

Hi

I'm looking into the parentage of Elizabeth Badkin [born circa 1770]. I found the Barton Under Needwood Parish Registers on line but there appears to be pages missing - is this also the case on the discs or fiche of the records?

There are entries for an Elizabeth Adkin born around that time.

19th April 1766 Baptised. Elizabeth daughter of Thomas and Hannah Adkin

27th March 1769 Buried. Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Adkin

28th November 1770. Baptised. Elizabeth daughter of Thomas and Hannah Adkin.

There are 4 entries to do with an Elizabeth Badkin but none match a birth around 1770.

There are no pages missing on the copy I have have.

Does she have any siblings?

Hi Mark

Unfortunately all I know about her is that she married Thomas Burton in 1815 at St Michael Lichfield Staffordshire.
She appears along with Thomas in the 1841 census living at Wednesbury. Can't find anything resembling them in 1851.

Hi Mark

I stuffed up , not unusual for me I tell you.

I hadn't found them in the 1841 census - it was their son Thomas & his wife Hannah that I located at Wednesbury.

That being said what you found in 1851 may link to them - I'll see how I go in the 1841 census.

Hi

Can't seem to confidently fit this information into my tree - might have to put it into the too hard basket [pardon me while I get my step-ladder].
