This could be the same one, but under Price.

1851. Rowley Regis.
Mary Smith 61. Head.
John Price 31.Logder. Miner. born Dudley.
Hannah Price 28. Wife.
Samuel Price 3. Son.
Ann M Price 2. Dau.
Benjamin Hubble 13. Lodger.
Mercy Hubble 8. Lodger.

So it is Smith then Hannah smith
got to be for the marriage
what do you think?

Yes I think it's Smith by the 1851 census they were staying with Mary Smith , they just made it harder with putting lodgers instead of daughter and son-in-law.I have added the 1861 census and rest of childrem.

So if that is William age 18 on the 1871 with wid mother Fanny this must be his birth

Births Sep 1853
FUDGE William John Gloster 6a 213

but how do we know that that is our William that marries Ann m Prince?

is the marriage down for look up
or was there another clue somewhere
cos the 1876 death is b abt 1850 and there is one b Tipton

I am not sure James and Fanny are his parents ie one that married ann m Prince
wot do we think?

Not added the above census because I don't feel it's anything to do with the Fanny Fudge I have been adding , Fudge was her maiden name.

I think this Fanny Fudge proves it, how many Fanny fudges are there around, Its likely that William named Fanny after his mother.

The William born in Tipton born in 1851 is with his mother Elizbuth in 1881 in Tipton.

I think these 2 are the same family. Oldland and Bristol are very close together.
