Absent Family and Friends.

A moment to remember.

All the hectic times of Christmas, buying gifts decorating the house. I always find myself thinking of family and friends who are no longer with us.
Yesterday was 3 years since my Dad passed away and the last couple of years we have lost so many close family and friends.
A poem I wrote for my Dad just before he passed away,

For You, Dad.

Today I light a candle for you,
to help you on your way.
To show you paths of greener land,
far more, than words can say.
Gently I will hold your hand
and patiently I will sit by you, Dad,
I will burrow in my memories,
and find the good times that we had.
I can not hide my sadness
or the pain I`m going through.
It`s just the thought of losing,
The thought of losing you.

Jo that is a lovely poem you wrote for your dad, what a lovely talent you have to write a poem like that.
