Not sure if this is the right section for this question, I am stillon quest for Mary Emma's mother, I Mary Emma was born 19.2.1843 in Dudley but I can't send for her birth certificate because I can't find her on the register for the page number or volume number. Is there any way I can send for the certificate without that information?
The information came from the I.G.I.

The IGI info is taken from baptism records so the actual info on that record could be looked up; Does it say whether the date is baptism or birth? If it is the former she could have been considerably earlier as babies weren't always baptised soon after birth

There is a notice for a Female Guest recorded in Dudley in the 1843 Jan/Feb/Mar quarter xviii /336 which if you haven't checked it already might be the right one. - it would certainly worth a look given the info you have

Nessa you keep posting this and we keep running with the same thing
you need to send for that birth cert and say that you only want it if the father is Henry

here is the previous or rather 2 previous threads

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2445&hilit=mary+emma+guest

the regis no is in that thread

this is a possible you would need to explore
dudley will only send it if father is Henry if you ask them
you can even say you only want it if father Henry and mother Elizabeth

Births Mar 1843
Guest Mary Dudley 18 321

or via Dudley

1843
Surname Forename(s) Sub-District Registers At Reference
GUEST Mary Sedgley Dudley Register Office SEG/012/463

bapt is in the rite qtr

MARY EMMA GUEST.
Birth, 19 FEB 1843.
Christening, 13 JUL 1851. Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester.
Parents:
HENRY GUEST.
ELIZABETH.

then you will find out if mother is that Elizabeth Willetts or whoever...
you need to eliminate this birth above

I think we are going to have to flag this for archivig Nessa

do think about maybe ordering that birth cert from dudley for Mary Guest
or the female guest one

contact Dudley regis office
say you only want it if the father is Henry and mother maybe an Elizabeth
(you could even leave the name of mother off as you know deffo father Henry)

give them dob and they will do a sweep 2 sides of a year I think

you can say that her middle name may be Emma
and see how you get on
they will only charge you if they find something

So now flagging to archive
