What did you have for lunch today?

Post by gardener »

I'm just microwaving a baking potato - I'm going to break it open, add flakes of cold butter and pour over cold milk. Yum, yum.
Used to be my favourite lunch as a kid (only called it dinner then and the potato was baked in the oven so crispy outside but can't have everything).

I forgot to have any!
I do jackets in the microwave then put them in a hot oven to crisp the skins off. Love butter on them but thick slices rather than flakes of butter

Hi, Jacket pots are great if you soften them in the microwave then scoop out the insides mash add butter and grated cheese, then put back in the skins sprinkle with grated cheese and a dash of Worcester Saucebake in the oven until the cheese has melted and browned. Lovely but very hot it is easy to burn your mouth.

Also love Jacket Potatoes but hate cheese.
