Windsor/Brookes connection

Post by mumbles »

Suki and Kate have added a lot of details on this family
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =419324091
and I have filled in the gaps for two reasons.
a) My Brookes side of family originated in Rowley Village and earliest record is William Brookes marrying a Mary Windsor born est. 1710 on 26/12/1732 ( on bcc) .
b) Lucy Windsor born 1907 and a descendant of Noah Windsor born 1782 in Village Rowley owned a shop in Beaumont Road where I was born and always said she was related . Note she "adopted" me when I was in Hospital in 1949 with Scarlet Fever and sent in loads of sweets from her shop with my parents.
I wander if it possible to link Mary Windsor with Noah

Thanks Peterd ,
I have added but I cannot find link between Mary Windsor who married William Brookes and this family of Windsors yet.
The Mary Windsor born 1715 is close but married a John Hackett in 23/8/1736 RR

ancestry has been wrong before might be worth posting the marriage for a look up anyway

Peterd,
I have marriages on RR records
26/12/1732 William Brookes & Mary Windsor
23/8/1736 John Hackitt & Mary Windsor
I did not think there was any more info available if you had a look up of these marriages ?

Hi Mumbles you won't get much info on the really early ones unless the vicar has decided to add a bit of extra info

do you want to brickwall this one?
