Arc tbc---Robert Smith born about 1907

Post by grangers14 »

This person is from the Bugle dated Jan 1980. He is one of three characters pictured in the Blue Ball, Old Hill. He and his friends seem such lovely characters, I'd like to see if we could find their families.
It states he is 73, born Buck Street, Old Hill.
I looked on the 1911 census and there is a possible family.

11 Pear Tree Street, Old Hill, Staffordshire
Benjamin Smith, head, 24, Coal Hewers loader
Mary Smith, wife married 4 years, Gas hook maker
Robert Smith, son, 4,
Lily Smith, daur, 1
All born Rowley Regis

On BCC there is Benjamin Smith born 1888 from the same area, I wonderd if he connects up?
Jo :)

I'd seen that marriage Peter. Thanks :) Not able to check that out though.
Theres a couple of possibles for Benjamin in earlier census but not one I could pin point.
Shame I wanted to add a note on Bcc about the Bugle.
Archive this NL unless anyone else wnats to add anything.
Jo :)

So you think it is possibly this George, here, Jo? ...

It would help make sense of this very complicated family!
Some mistakes are too much fun
