No! the marriage entry will be at Dudley
thought you needed his father?

When you get the fathers name then you can say to
Sandwell registry office you only want that certif if father is such and such

So I've done it back to front then!! that's me, like a bull at a gate. But I am positive that this is the right George, it seems to much of a coincidence. I'll just have to wait and see what comes through the post. Will keep you posted - fingers crossed.

rite well look we do look ups ...but it is whenever we get up there
and it is gonna be a few weeks
so if you have ordered that marraige ok
but you could have stuck it on the list

I dont get copies Shaz you have to get those yourself
which you can do
they cost abt 60p for a copy for your own research

I can get you the info but you have to post in the correct section
so you need to go to Look up requests
then you need to find the first thread which says Dudley and Smethwick look ups post here
and then you need to put the following
your name
the marriage details
ie names year church day month
or names year and the bmsgh reference I mentioned prev
then I will add it to the list
might be a while
and if you want a cert or a copy you need to sort that yourself

how do you know it is John Henry as the father

I have some good news, well for me it is

I have found my Great, great grandfather, I have received my great grandfathers (George Henry) marriage certificate and also his birth certificate and the fathers name is a match.

So now I'm on the search for the marriage certificate of my Great great grandparents :

John Henry Goodin, on the marriage cert his profession is down as a minor and he is married to Susannah Goodin formerly Harvey.

I have been looking on the web but I'm not getting anywhere fast. Any help would be appreciated
