Don't know but seems more likely to be the baptist one.

Non of those Baptist Birth's are in the Baptist Register, I think it is a mistake, should be Park Lane. Linell.

I am sure this Samuel born 1797/8 RR is the one we already have on BCC. There is only the one Samuel of that age in Cradley Heath and Cradley with a wife Sarah on the Census. I found daughter Ruth in 1851, also in Butchers Lane, where Maria Priest lived:-

William Feldon HD 27 Horse Nail Maker Cradley
Ruth Wife 22
Ellen 2
William 1

In 1861 William Feldon Grandson is with Samuel and Sarah in Foxoak Cradley Heath.

Just realised I have Rebecca Willetts born about 1834 Cradley daugther of Samuel and Sarah Willetts, Rebecca Married Felix Walker 1853. They had a daughter Ruth, they lived in Cradley, not Butchers Lane but Light Green which is nearby. Sure this is Rebecca sister of Moses. Only have her in 1861, will do a better search later. Linell.

Lin can you just stick the link on this thread so I can have a look at which Samuel you mean

We can't link Samuel with Moses to that Samuel at the mo
but we could add a note to the Samuel we have on for Moses and the one you think it is.
Do you mean the Edward as father one?

cos that one interests me with being a baptist and a baptist lodger living with them

Hi NL, have searched everywhere I can think of for Samuel's father and nothing, so will leave the one you put on as Father of Moses, but change his dob as we have him on the Census born about 1796/7.

Cannot find any of the Baptism's for Samuel and Sarah's children, have searched St Peter's and Cradley Baptists, not there :?: Must be the Presbyterian Chapel at Park Lane :?

Ok will add all the Census info and what we know to be 100%, will then post the link.

Hi NL, had a good look through the Cradley Baptist Register and did find:-

Moses born 16.3.1837
Rebecca born 16.10.1834
Samuel son of Edward and Ann Willetts 29.7.1796
Samuel son of Samuel and Sarah Willetts 10.12.1830
Ruth daughter of Samuel and Sarah Willetts 15.11.1828

Samuel and Sarah Willetts Rented Seats at the Chapel

Also children of Charles and Mary Yardley, registered there, they were Sarah Yardley's Parents.

I think this confirms that the above names were all one family. This Register of Births not Baps, are all grouped together at the back of the book, so indeed they were all Baptists and all knew each other from Church. Later from Linell.
