Do you remember we were running with the William Daniels Thread and asking who Polly was ?
and a few other questions too?

Well I have brought that thread back but locked it and we can use it as a reference,
cos I have a few offshoots off this based on look ups and certif obtained.

Thought it might be easier take em one by one although they merge.

So here we go....I received the certificate for the birth of an Alice Daniels
we thought she may be the dau of Wm Daniels b 1860 and wife Polly or a Mary Ann

Ok I have an idea on this lot but it is tbc....
I think that Polly is a Mary or Mary ann and is the dau of William Daniels who married Matidla Rose here

Alice Daniel birth info is ....
24th March 1880 Union Workhouse- Alice Girl- no father named on cert- Mary Daniels domestic servant- X Mary Daniels mother Union Workhouse Sedgley

I think that either that William Daniels above living with Joseph Mole is the father of Mary Daniels
that would then fit with him being Bro in law to Getha Rose and Joseph Mole

I think therefore that William Daniels age above is incorrect for some reason
his occup of Labourer is good ( will come to that in a bit)

or it is Brother and sister living together and the brother in law bit is incorrect as Joseph would be his Uncle.

The reason why I think that Alice is the dau of Polly/Mary is that on the 1901 we have this
1901. 15 Mott St, Rowley Regis.
John Rollason 49. Rivet maker.
Mary Rollason 48.
Matilda Rollason 12.
William Daniells 64. Widow. Father in law. bricklayer labourer.

1892.
ROLLINSON John, DANIELS Mary, Cradley Heath, St Luke, Sandwell Register Office. 20/2/398.

and I have looked up that marriage
and the father for Mary Daniels is a William Daniles labourer

that Matilda with them is I think the Matilda from the 1891
that William Daniels is the one I think on the 1891--labourer--brother in law
just incorrect age

I dont know if Wm Daniels jnr b 1860 died or is the one in 1882 marrying Rhoda Williams
I have looked that marriage up
and the father for that Wm Daniels is a miner called William Daniels
the age is good for a Wm b 1860 as in 1882 he is 23 yrs
just the occup of a miner is not a match

what do we think?

This looks like that Matilda age 2 on 1891 and 12 on 1901
I sent for a Smith one
but think it is this one

Births Mar 1889
Rolason Matilda Dudley 6c 9

So then she is born ahead of Marriage in 1892 but takes the fathers name so he must have been present at regis or given consent

I sent for a Smith one

Just got the birth certif for Matilda Smith b 1888 and it isnt the one linked to this Mary Daniels
so that Matilda Rolason one must be her

Could do with knowing what you think re the above and any other thoughts

I have added Mary Daniels as dau of William Daniels
I don't believe it is the Mary dau of Wm Daniels and Sarah and have noted why on bcc

I think the key is Tilda age 2
who is Matilda Rollason I think age 12 on 1901
and Alice age 1 on 1881 and 12 on 1891
and then down on BCert as dau of Mary Daniels

Then Mary Daniels marries John Rollason
and father in laws age and occup fits with the Wm Daniel that married Matilda Rose

and I have been able based on that marriage to John Rollason been able to connect up the tree here
