Re: Woodhouse spinsters!
1841
Portway
Daniel Woodhouse 73 lab
Hannah ditto 38
Elizth ditto 14
Sarah ditto 9
Hannah ditto 3
Charles ditto 4m
1851
Portway
Hannah Woodhouse head w 50 laundress
Martha ditto d unm 22
Sarah ditto dau unm 19
Henry ditto son 13
Joseph ditto son 2
John ditto son 2
Henry Hewitt inmate m 31
Elizabeth ditto inmate m 24
William ditto son 6
Thomas ditto son 4
Richard ditto son 1
Daniel Woodhouse father in law w 84 pauper and nail forger
I see John as the son of Sarah, not Mary, in the transcripts so I think Joseph and John are sons of sisters Martha and Sarah. Not sure about Charles - He could be Hannah's son only she would be a widow rather than a spinster? Need to look better I think
