I'm Fotofunguy, nom de plume comes from what I enjoy doing with my spare the time, which is photographing fungi collectively with all sorts of nature stuff.
I was born in Amblecote Road, Quarry Bank, attended Mount Pleasant Infants School and then Quarry Bank Secondary Modern, also did stints at Dudley and Halesowen colleges.
I have been researching my tree on and off for a few years and when I do find something new it gives me great pleasure.
Last week after years of delving I found some of my wife's Irish ancestors together with some real old photographs of them, great feeling to come up trumps once in a while.
I have lots of WILLETTS, WOODCOCK, CHAMBERS and GLOVER in my tree and I am always looking for more.
I have a brick wall with my great grandfather who was named William Henry GLOVER apparently born in 1871. William was a boatman working on the inland waterways and in his later years he lived next to the Presbyterian Chapel at 11 Mount Pleasant, Quarry Bank.
I would love to find out where William was born, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards to you all.
