Decimus Lowe b abt 1810?

Post by Northern Lass »

Kdw has done a look up and not sure if it is this one married to a Clara
does Clara die?
then he marries a Mary?

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

can we find this Decimus and Mary on the 1841?

I think that perhaps William Lowe b 1829 is the son of Decimus and Clara
William calls his dau Clara..
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =899585700

but
perhaps Solomon is the son of Decimus and Mary?
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =935098499

2 Sept 1833 St Thomas Dudley
Decimus Lowe of Parish widower
Mary Hackwood s
banns
wit- Benjamin Cartwright X
Sarah Brains X

can we find this Decimus and Mary on 1841
and this Solomon Lowe on census
should get Solomon on 1851

Mally how do you know he was born 7 oct 1841?

So hang on let me try and get me head around this

If William is the Brother of Solomon and on the census in 1861 they are down as bros..

1861: Parsonage St, Oldbury (Surname spelt Lowe on Image)
William Lawe 32 Head Coalminer Oldbury
Sarah Lawe 30 Wife William D Lawe 7 Son Oldbury
Clara Lawe 2 Dau Oldbury
Robert Lawe 3weeks Son Oldbury
Solomon Lawe 19 Brother Coalminer Oldbury

then they must be half bros with different parents
so William calls his dau Clara so his mother is Clara
Clara dies
and then Decimus marries Mary Hackwood in 1833
and they have Solomon in 1841
proved by Solomon being with G.parents in 1851
and then Decimus is dead by 1851

so that other one in 1825 to Jane nickless dunno

does that look rite
do we agree

Sounds about right to me
this might help
Priscilla Lowe
Christening: 15 APR 1838 Oldbury, Worcester, England
Parents:
Father: Decimus Lowe
Mother: Mary Lowe

If Mary was the daughter of William and Priscilla Hackwood that would make sense
