Kdw has done a look up and this is odd...

son is George Thomas Taylor b 1864 a labourer on marr doc
and father is a John Brace ...deceased by 1890 accord to sons marr doc

why Brace?

And it known in the village that the father was John 'Brace'? Could even be noted in the Parish daily notes.
