*ARC TBC* -- LOFFREDA - WAKEFIELD, YORKSHIRE
This is definitely a difficult one. I am searching for any information on Cleonice Loffreda. She lived in Wakefield, Yorkshire from, we assume, sometime the 1940's until (perhaps!) her death in about 1993 (perhaps!) The two perhaps' are because the only definite information about her is her name on the birth certificates of her 3 sons, Edward (1949) John (1957) and Alan (1962) all born in Wakefield, Yorkshire. The father named on two of the birth certificates was Ernest Owen. It is believed that Cleonice was Italian. There are, therefore, no birth records, nor are there any electoral registration records of her time in Wakefield. There is also no record of her death or of a marriage whilst in England. The lady is a mystery and a mystery that her son, who was adopted as an infant, would love to have some answers to. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

There is somebody on Ancestry with her in their tree. Since the tree is called Owen, I assume it is the person you are trying to help?

Hi Wendy,
As you know the names of mother and fathers I assume that you have copies of the original birth certificates. Has the son in question applied to see his adoption file? He will have to go through social workers to get a copy but it will tell him where his mother was living at the time and may have info on there that you cannot get from BMD index, electoral registers etc.
