1891 census shows Thomas Charles was employed as a publican in Cradley Heath.
His address at that time was 75 Cradley Road. I have noticed that Benjamin Westwood was an innkeeper/publican (licensed) employing others in the same census batch. Westwood address was 62 Cradley Road.
Suggestions re: finding employment records for Thomas Charles as a publican will be appreciated.

I am wondering if 75 Cradley Road residence is still in existence? If so, suggestions on how to obtain photos?
Thank you.

Hi SR, Cradley Road ran south of 5 Ways Cradley Heath, down to Bridge Street Cradley. There are lots of pictures in both Cradley and Cradley Heath Local History Books, there is a really nice one which shows the famous Cross Guns Inn and Samuel Tibbetts Butchers Shop in a book by Ron Moss, called 'Cradley Heath and Old Hill' a second edition, you can buy these on Line, or as NL said, Sandwell Archives, also Dudley Archives has a lot of Cradley books. Most of the area has now been redeveloped but a few old buildings remain, good luck from Linell.

Re: publican Thomas Charles
I think your best bet is contact the archives and see if they have any info that could help you
employment records
old photos etc
they do a research service.
few sites
http://www.midlandspubs.co.uk/
http://www.historicaldirectories.org/hd/index.asp
as for an up to date photo you would have to see if anyone could do a photo for you if they live near there
I can move this to Brickwalls or archive it
