I see Dennis had alrea put a coouple of my Grandparents up there so first up are the other two:
Grandma Ford: Mary Eleanor Homer - B: 09 Jul 1913 in Kings Norton. D: 14 Apr 1979 in Sandwell.
She does fit it with the exisitng Homers somewhere as I can see several Homers listed that are in my tree.
She probably alao fits in with the existing Cutlers although a quick look didn't give me any common ancestors.
Grandad Ford: Albert Reginald Ford - B: 13 Oct 1912 in West Bromwich. D: 09 Mar 1971 in Warley.
I can't see any common Fords in the tree but I have a bit of a brick wall so haven't gone as far back as I want.
Eleanor and Albert married on 06 Jun 1940 at the Parish Church in Smethwick.
--------------------------------------------------------
Great Grandad Dodd: Frederick Dodd - B: 1st Quarter 1863 in Sherrif Hales. Moved to Walsall in the late 1880's. D: 1st Quarter 1917 in Walsall. All of his children were born and raised in Walsall.
He fits in with the exisiting Dodds in tree as his son, my Grandad, Frederick Horace Dodd is already in the tree and connects to Dennis' Murphys via his wife, Mary Ann Murphy, who is also in the tree.
The Dodd family is mainly Shropshire/Staffordshire border based. (Sherrif Hales).
His mother is a Blockley and you have none of those in your tree.
Great Grandma Dodd: Mary Price - B: 1st Quarter 1872 in Penkridge. Lived her early life in Norton Cane and Cannock. Do not know her death date but it is past 1911.
Married Frederick Dodd on the 06 May 1895 at St Johns, Walsall.
Might fit in with the current Prices but I have found them annoying to trace. Almost as common as Smiths.
Her mother is an Upton and you have none of those in your tree.

Births Sep 1913
Homer Eleanor M Cutler Kings N 6d 240
On the marriage certificate she is Eleanor Mary Homer.
Marriages Mar 1905
CUTLER Mary Agnes King's N. 6c 580
HOMER John Zachariah King's N. 6c 580
THOMPSON Kate King's N. 6c 580
WRIGHT Horace Leopold King's N. 6c 580
Her father is John Zachariah Homer B: 4th QTR 1881 in Harborne and registered in Kings Norton. He was abaptised on the 08 Dec 1881 in Smethwick. Do not know which church. He was C of E.
Her mother is Mary Agnes Cutler B: 2nd QTR in Smethwick and registered in Kings Norton. Strict Roman Catholic.
Her siblings are
James William Homer 1907-1995
Gertrude E S Homer 1910-2002
Alice L Homer 1912-
Luke Philip Homer 1917-1940. KIA in France
George Homer 1918-1918
Philip H Homer 1919-1920
Harry herbert Homer 1921-1994
John Zachariah can be found at the following addresses.
1891 159 Grove Lane, Harborne
1901 1 Grove Street, Birmingham
1911 74 Raglan Rd, Smethwick
Mary Agnes Cutler can be found at the following addresses
1891 17 Grove Street Harborne
1901.... Don't know.....
1911 75 Raglan Rd, Smethwick
I currently have 174 Homers (plus their spouses etc) in my tree so can probably find a common ancestor easy enough.
I have traced her Homer line back to a Samuel Holmore 1683-1727 who married a Sarah Troman in Kingswinford in 1727.
I have traced her Cutler line back to John Cutler 1710- who married an Ann Jackson in West Brom in 1735.
So as you can see, they have been "Black Country" for several centuries.
I have 64 Cutlers and partners but a heap of information I am yet to enter.

now when you do join, any that you connect to, just add right at the top of the notes, before anything else or whatever else is there...
insert this
Connects to:-

Re: My Ancestors to be added to BCC by MarkCDodd
Okay, I just got Frederick Horace Dodd's death cert and he died on the 1st Jan 1956 from Lung cancer. Grandma always blamed the Aluminium smelter for that...
Ford info looks good and I will now put the brick wall up for all to attack with your sledge hammers.
