Description DSCAM/5/6/1/9-10: Deed (14 Oct. 1830) between Joseph Bridgwater of Dudley, Worcs., maltster and Sarah his wife [formerly Sarah Lay], and William Hickin of Wolverhampton, Staffs., gentleman, to lead and declare the uses of a Fine of the fourth part of Sarah in 10 messuages, with a malthouse and other premises in High Street alias Castle Street, Dudley, to Hickin, to such uses as Joseph Bridgwater shall appoint, and otherwise to the use of Joseph for life, then to Sarah for life, thence to their issue as tenants in common, with remainder to the right heirs of Joseph. And Final Concord (Michaelmas Term 1830) between William Hickin (Plaintiff) and Joseph Bridgwater and Sarah his wife (Deforciants). Description DSCAM/5/6/1/11-12: Appointment and demise for 1000 years by way of mortgage (1 Nov. 1830) by Joseph Bridgwater and wife to Thomas Blew, late of Wolverhampton, now of Stourbridge, Worcs., gentleman, of the fourth part of the 10 messuages etc. in Castle Street, to secure £600 and interest. Bond (1 Nov. 1830) from J. Bridgwater to Blew in £1200 to secure further the £600. Description DSCAM/5/6/1/13: Lease and release (24-25 May 1831) by way of mortgage by John Lay of Dudley, grocer, to Thomas Lester of the same, pork merchant, of a fourth part of the 10 messuages, etc. to secure £400 and interest, subject to a lease from Thomas Martin to Benjamin Morris for 24 years from Michaelmas 1825; power of sale; covenant for the production of title deeds by Joseph Cowdry, acid maker and Job Pitt, maltster, both of Dudley; and declaration of trust by Cowdry to Lester in respect of a term of 500 years. Description DSCAM/5/6/1/15: Further charge (23 Sept. 1834) from Bridgwater to Lester for £300 on a fourth part of the 10 messuages etc. Description DSCAM/5/6/1/16-17: Lease and release (22-23 Sept. 1834) by way of mortgage by Thomas Lay of Dudley, grocer, to Thomas Blew of Grey Place, Bristol Road, parish of Edgbaston, Warwickshire, gentlemen, of a fourth part of the 10 messuages etc., to secure £700 and interest, subject to a lease from Thomas Martin to Benjamin Morris for 24 years from Michaelmas 1825; power of sale; covenant for the production of title deeds by Joseph Cowdry, acid maker and Job Pitt, maltster, both of Dudley; and declaration of trust by Cowdry to Blew in respect of a term of 500 years.
