William Munday born abt 1895

Trying to trace William Munday born abt 1895 poss Surrey or perhaps father (also William Munday Occupation - Groom) born Surrey. Have found death cert but unable to find birth cert record. He served WW1 with Royal Marine Light Infantry and married in Gateshead in 1917 and died 1930. I'm having real problems trying to trace him with minimal info. Any help would be great.
