Hi Sparks
I have moved this to the BC Genealogy section as I think we can have a delve pre look up

RIte now so we have this David Weston here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections
he married Mary Ann Hingley in 1846

we can check on that marriage for father of Mary ann and hoping it will be Samuel Hingley here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =899171439

So Questions
Is father to the Mary Ann Hingley who married David Weston a Samuel and
if it is a Samuel is the one that Married an Ann Homer the Samuel with Parents James Hingley and Mary Billingham

there must be loads of Mary ann Hingleys
possibly a few with father Samuel
then we need to ensure our Samuel has those parents

Any clues on census for married couple in 1851?

Hi Sparks Samuel Hingley and Ann Homer please see above do not have a daughter Mary Ann, so can't be your Samuel. I see Mary Ann was aged 55 in 1881 and born Dudley Wood not Rowley. Have you checked BCC for a Mary Ann born abt. 1826 Dudley Wood? Linell.

How do you know father for Mary Ann Hingley is a Samuel Sparks if you need a marriage look up?
Where do you get the name Samuel from.

We have to take it slowly and check everything too many names are the same
So we will look that marriage up and can find out the father
but as linell says if that Samuel b 1793 didnt have a Mary ann yet bapt the other kids not looking hopeful

I have another daughter for Samuel Hingley and Ann Homer - Mary, born 31 Dec 1826, Cradley Heath, christened 7 June 1827 Park Lane Pres. Chapel, Cradley. Now don't ask me where I got this one, I may have dreamed it. But I haven't seen a death for this one.

It is not entirely unknown for families to give their children the same first name if they are intended to be identified by the first and second name used together???
Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

I think we need to do the marriage look up and take it from there
If someone wishes to add the bapt for that Mary at park lane
and say one from the Old swinford bout the same time to look ups
I can check abode and occup of father
so maybe pre 1826 and then years after that just to check it didnt change
only thing is with Park lane ones you dont get that much info and only sometimes the occup on there

Hi NL, I have this Samuel 1793 Married to Anne Homer 13.9.1819 Old Swinford children:-
Samuel Hingley 1819
Edwin Hingley 1820 M Anne Winwood
Olivia Hingley 1820
Hannah Hingley 1823

Mary Maria Hingley 1829 M James Priest
Timothy Hingley 1831 M Sarah Ann Mordridge
Louisa Hingley 1833
Leonora Hingley 1835 M Wm Price

I have these notes:-
In 1861 Samuel's Granddaughter Leah Hingley aged 2 and Grandson Samuel Parsons aged 21 are in the Household.

Hi Linell, Have some old records from a family member(now dec.) don't know where from! showing:

Mary Ann Hingley marr. to David Weston
Parents: Samuel Hingley & Ann Homer...G/Par. James Hingley / Mary Billingham
G/G/Par. Samuel Billingham & LEAH Trimmings/Timmings?

Not certain this is right, so wanted to check with the experts!. As BCC does not connect. Cheers. Sparks.

Hi Sparks
and we are right not to Connect till we know so pleased that you have flagged this for us to run with and check
as nothing but nothing gets added until we are sure.

That is our first step check that marriage and that Samuel
that doesnt mean that that is the Samuel with parents James Hingley

but that name Leah is interesting isnt it?
So Samuel had a Grandmother called Leah

and in 1861 Samuel has his G.dau called Leah

who is Leah dau to?

So we have Mary Maria on BCC already
here

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

and a bapt for a Samuel

SAMUEL HINGLEY
Christening: 29 DEC 1793 Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley, Worcester, Parents:
Father: JAMES HINGLEY
Mother: MARY Extracted

so if this is our Samuel that married Ann Homer we can at least join Mary Maria up and get rid of the other Samuel

BUT did this Mary Maria marry James priest or Edmund priest
Peter has entered this

Edmund Priest
Mary Maria Hingley
Marriage: 27 FEB 1854 St Edmund`S, Dudley

Linell has put a James Priest

this is the only one I can see so think it is Edmund
1854
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference
HINGLEY Mary M PRIEST Edmund Dudley, St Edmund Dudley Register Office 201/002/195

SAMUEL HINGLEY
Marriages:
Spouse: ANN HOMER
Marriage: 13 SEP 1819 Old Swinford, Worcester,
Extracted

SAMUEL HINGLEY
Spouse: ELIZABETH BLOOMER
Marriage: 24 OCT 1814 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester,
Extracted

so 2 marriages

Rite we have this Mary Maria Hingley
father is a Samuel accord to IGI entry
she marries an Edmund Priest
this is a submitted entry for a bapt and I have checked it in my book and added the extra

MARY MARIA HINGLEY St Giles Rowley Regis
Christening: 12 JUL 1829 Rowley Regis, Stafford, England

Parents:
Father: SAML. HINGLEY
Mother: ANNE
dau of Samuel and Anne Hingley Cradley Heath tracemaker

Wonder if Mary Hingley died and then they had Mary Maria as you would expect them both to be on the 1841 census
Mary Maria is
but no Mary

I think that Mary Ann married to David Weston is a different family
but I dont know
looks like younger ones are bapt at Park Lane and later ones RRegis

It will be interesting to look up that marriage for David weston and the one for Mary Maria and see occup of Samuel if Samuel is father to Mary ann

MARY HINGLEY
Birth: 31 DEC 1826

Christening: 07 JUN 1827 Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley, Worcester,
Parents:
Father: SAMUEL HINGLEY
Ann
Extracted birth

1841 Tibbots garden Rowley Regis
Samuel Hingley ( looks like Hayley) 45 Chainmaker
Ann HIngley 40
Edwin 20
Hannah 18
Sarah 16
Mary Mariah 11
