*Completed* Johnson/Dingley link
I am trying to complete a connection between Dingley family and Johnson Family as Edward Dingley born 1831 married a Matilda Johnson who was daughter of Joseph Johnson born 1798 Rowley Staffs.and a Ann ? who he married c. 1821
I believe Joseph was son of Aaron Johnson and Lucy Dingley but have found nothing concrete to confirm other than Joseph Johnson was baptised at Rowley on 18/7/1802 son of Aaron & Lucy Johnson. I would like to find maarriage details to Ann ? as they may confirm who were Joseph,s parents

Hi Mumbles do you know which church they married in 1821? was it RR st Giles?

The witnesses were Henry Johnson and Hetty Partridge (both signed with an x as did Ann Rose). Joseph was bachelor and Ann a spinster.
They didn't usually give parents back then.

Re: Johnson/Dingley link
Could that be Joseph's brother Henry and his wife to be? In the 1841/51 census Henry is married to Hetty. I just can't find their marriage.

Re: Johnson/Dingley link
Excellent Jimmy and Gardener,
The info confirms link as Henry born 1799 was son of Aaron Johnson and Lucy Dingley and he was baptised on same day as Joseph born 1798 at St. Giles Rowley 18/7/1802
Henry went on to marry Henrietta ( shown as Hettie on later Census returns) and in 1841 and 1851 lived close to Joseph & Ann ( two doors up in 1841).
Together with other Census details and RR parish records this confirms the link but I will liase with Di Logan before inserting on BCC as she has inserted most of Johnsons
Regards , Mumbles

Just flagging this up with those involved to see if we can move this now to the Archived enquiries section?
It can always be brought back should new info be forthcoming.
Unless otherwise informed it will be moved after 24 hours.
Thanks"
