I've just gone to add a marriage to Drusilla Price on BCC , but I think he's already there. Drusilla Price married Daniel Wellings at St Giles church 1890.
If this is the one that you added to BCC how do we connect them up?
Believe it is. He is the only Daniel Wellings born around here at the right time. Maybe I should post a marriage lookup for them to see how old he was and who his father is I have them on the 1891 census living with her parents Thomas and Sarah at 34 New Town Lane Cradley Heath, Both age 21.

I think his family owned a factory in Old Hill

Hi Cid
you cant connect up until you are absolutely sure that they are the same ones! ie you need the marriage or a look up I can then take you thru, when we know for sure they need connecting up ie that they have those parents on the phone as it can be tricky but you need to know how and it is easy once you know how so stick marrige for look up and we can go from there

Beat me to it Cid that is exactly rite
Cid we have to check and dble check as so many have the same names so we have to check marriages etc etc
Please note all members of BCC....anyone adding bits to BCC it is vital that you check that if you are connecting 2 parts of the tree up you have evidence that the ones you wish to connect up are the ones in the marriage with the relevant parents that are on both BCC and as detailed on the family for the individuals you think are ripe for connecting Sorrry to bang a big drum but we have to be sure

Hi Cid, sounds like the same one, as I have Daniel in 1881 in Greystone Street Dudley, don't have him in 1891. As NL said we will wait on the Marriage Look Up then it can be connected if it all fits. Thanks for flagging that, great to find Connections from Linell.
cid wrote:Big drum just deafened me NL Have posted lookup request. 1891 census looks like he was born in gornal
cheers Cid
ok well stick it on the thread as I have Highlighted and I will look it up for you then if it checks out you can have the pleasure of joining up and me on the phone talking to ya does life get any better
cid wrote:Nope it doesn't. I was so scared by that big drum that i'm going to sign off now and get myself a large drink
think I will join u have added that marriage
wot are the occupations of Daniel and his father and Druiscilla and her father please if you have it handy anyone I can add that to the notes/Q's it helps on look ups did someone say drink
Drucillas father is down as a miner on his own marriage cert in 1862, and then a bundler (something to do with iron) on his sons marriage cert in 1889. I can't make out what Daniel is doing on 1891 census, sorry..... Cid
ps sos it's took till now to reply, I signed off too quick to see this last night.
Thanks Cid, I have Daniel's father Thomas Wellings as a Blacksmith. Will get back to you when the Marriage has been looked up, best wishes from Linell.
Have just had another look at the 1891 image, got my other half on the case and between us we've come up with Shackle maker! as a Daniels occupation. That could tie in with his father being a blacksmith???? Also spoke to my mom, who says that my G/mother was definately related to the Wellings who owned a factory in Old Hill. (She can remember my g/mother complaining that they never found my g/father a job during the 30's depression-------sore point)
