Peterd has James Siviter born c.1824 RR
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... nd=6004947
In RR Parish Records there is an entry for -
9/12/1844 James Siviter 20, Bach. Nailer of Village abnd son of Thomas a Nailer and Mary Brooks aged 19 spinster of Birch Hill daughter of Thomas Westwood a Nailer
I think Mary did marry Peterd's James Siviter but how did she get name Brooks when her father was Westwood ?

Re: Brookes/Siviter/Westwood Connection
The Mary Brooks noted appears to be living next door to Siviter family on 1841 Census including James and his mother Fanny.
1841 Old Hill Rowley Regis
William Smith 50 Nailer
Ann Smith Nailer
William Smith 20
Mary Smith 15
Mary Brooks 15 Nailer
Samuel Bradley 25 Nailer
Elizabeth Bradley 3
Hannah Bradley 1
All born Staffs.
Next door
Fanny Siviter 55 Nailer
Abel Siviter 19
James Siviter 15
Maria Siviter 12
All born Staffs.
This does not explain why Mary Brooks father was Thomas Westwood but appears to make connection

Re: Brookes/Siviter/Westwood Connection
That marriage looks good Mumbles
do you fancy adding that if you got a min to BCC
wonder if this is the marriage for Willam Smith and Ann
so perhaps Mary Brooks is a rellie of Ann
WILLIAM SMITH
Marriages:
Spouse: ANN BROOKS
Marriage: 25 OCT 1807 Halesowen, Worcester,
Extracted

Re: Brookes/Siviter/Westwood Connection
Nl, I have filled in marriage and Census details and will fill in more Census details of James and Mary and Children.
It does not answer why Mary is shown as dau of Thomas Westwood however.
The Smith connection looks good so I will investigate further and see whether it throws any light on Mary Brookes

Flagging to archive or can move to Brickwalls Mumbles on this one

Re: Brookes/Siviter/Westwood Connection
Nl I would archive as I do not think it is possible to identify why fathers name was Westwood
