No, it's a different James I think according to this..

I have this:- In 1871 three Barnsley children are in William and Caroline's household. Elizabeth Barnsley aged 12, Ann Barnsley aged 10, and Matilda aged 7. Club Buildings Cradley Heath. Linell.

All seems to fit apart from the 1871 cenus for James and Ellen, William is listed as son.
