Is someone able to look up a death record for Mary H Knott - died is 1945 in Kingswinford. Ref KIN/113/390. What I would like to know is her middle name, age and if her husbands name is mentioned at all???? I know its asking a lot but just her age would be really helpful. Thank you
Chris

but area? and you would need to find out which couple married which
Cheers for that Northern Lass. I can only look up the Free BDM's at the moment and could only find it on West Mid BDM which did not give her age. But as she is 77 then I believe she is my Mary Hannah Garratt. She married Samuel Russon on Dec 23rd 1888 using her middle name Hannah. On my grandfathers birth cert she uses Hannah. And when Samuel Russon died she married Thomas Knott again using her middle name. It seems that when she died they found out that she was actually Mary Hannah. But to ber sure I could do with knowing if any Hannah Knotts died around the same time, any chance please I have been uable to find any.
1888 RUSSON Samuel GARRATT Hannah Dudley, St Andrew Dudley Register Office 205/009/125
1939 RUSSON Hannah KNOTT Thomas Dudley Register Office (Rowley Regis District) Dudley Register Office ROW/05C/5
So you say the dob checks ie b abt 1868 for a Mary H Garratt?
that info on age at death was via the complete indexes on ances so you would have to go thru those to find any Hannahs dying around the date you know. Quarter by Quarter.
no easy way. Do you have an idea then when she actually died? and the area
She lived in Quarry Bank so pretty sure she would have died there. Mom can remember her getting married again in 1939 and dying a few years latter. The age definately checks out as Mary Hannah Garratt was born 10th May 1867. And on marriage cert and 1891 and 1901 census the age for Hannah Garratt /Russon is consistant with that. Will have to go to library and do more checking, and have another look around QB churchyard.
If you know the date of death you can have a look at the archives as remember not all had headstones. Quarry Bank are at Dudley. Have you tried the council cemeteries site too? http://www.dudley.gov.uk/community-and- ... ch-service
Have searched on Dudley MBC's site, but had no luck. Seems all my ancestors must be in churchyards not cemeteries. And even though I know exactly where to look for the ones in St Lukes Churchyard in C/Heath the gravestones have been moved and I can't locate them.
