Flash Road runs parallel to Broadwell Road if thats any help to anyone.
If William Rose was a spademaker then he quite possibly learnt his trade in a 'Smithy.
1851 looks good to me.

1841
Registration District Aston
Civil Parish Sutton Coldfield

Sarah Moore 60
Francis Rose 50 Shoe maker
Joseph Bullows 40 gardner
Living in the same street-
George Rose 45 farmer
Mary Rose 45
William Rose 19
George Rose 17
Benjamin Rose 14
Edward Rose 11
Jane Rose 9
Maney seems to be near Wild Green(Wylde Green?)

1851 Francis is living 58 Oldbury Road Harborne.
William Sylvester 23 head
Elizth Sylvester 22 wife
Amelia Sylvester 4months daug
Francis Rose 60 lodger shoemaker
Wm. Edwards 22 lodger
Caroline Roberts 60 mother

Caroline Roberts!!??

On the same census forms Stoney Lane and Halford street?
This would indicate in the region of the present day Hawthorns Stadium home of West Bromwich Albion.

1861 Francis Rose is not to be found.
