It all turned out to be quite an emotional rollercoaster. But got a favourable outcome eventually. Although as things stand, I am still coming to terms with it all. I am happy to tell you the full story Assuming your still on here.
However, I wonder if your able to help again. This time with my Sister in law who now finds herself in pretty much the same situation.
She is 57 and just discovered through ancestry that my Husband is only her half brother.

on ancestry it should say who is relate to your husband on his mother side and his father side i would start looking at his father side matches
