I was going to suggest that
Could it be Elizabeth, daughter of William and Olive Smith?
1921 census has them at Portway, Springfield, and the youngest three kids seem to have a mother maiden name Knowles, which works for a marriage possibility

Marriages Mar 1894
Knowles Olive W. Bromwich 6b 977
Pennington George W. Bromwich 6b 977
Smith William W. Bromwich 6b 977
Yates Elizabeth W. Bromwich

I think you are correct kdw.
