George Randolph Workman, whose address was given as 9 Briddal Road, Madeley, Salop, was summond by his wife, Beatrice Workman in respect of £88.10s arrears under a maintenance order granted in 1924.
The Chairman said, the affairs of this young married couple had been before the Courts for a number of years, and there seemed to be no way out of the trouble. It seemed that they would both go on until they were quite old folks – defendant in and out of prison and the wife receiving no money at all.
The Bench had no alternative but send Workman to prison for 2 months.
