A brewing question
I'm researching an ancestor who was a beershop keeper in Wednesfield Heath in the 1850s. Apparently, he was in the habit of brewing 600 bushels of malt per annum. How much beer would this make?

1 Bushel = 8 Gallons. There are 8 Pints in a Gallon. 8 Pints x 8 Gallons = 64 Pints. 600 Bushels x 64 Pints = 38,400 Pints
Dont' ask me in litres

I only scanned it quickly but it looks like 2 bushels of malt would give about 25 gallons of liquid to ferment on It depends on the beer strength and stuff. Interesting to read properly maybe
