Re: T20 World Cup Cricket
Well mally, the two teams were "in and out like fiddlers elbows" 'cos of the rain. Eventually the match was abandoned and both teams got 1 point.
We are playing Australia tonight and really looking forward to that one - weather permitting

Re: T20 World Cup Cricket
I've tried my best to like T20 cricket. It's exciting but i can't get used to the "sloggers" coming in and all the unconventional strokes that are played. What does ex Accles and Pollock cricketer Ken think of it all? I know its probably me but i miss the real cricketers like Sir Geoffrey Boycott and Ken Barrington and many more.

Re: T20 World Cup Cricket
What a load of rubbish the England vs Australia match was
I couldn't even be bothered to watch the end. We have this one bowler that Ken absolutely HATES and oh boy does he go off on one when he sees that this bowler is in the team again.
I was telling Ken about what you said Rob about missing the real cricket players. I didn't mention any cricketers names, I just mentioned the old batter and old bowler and he said straight away "Oh you're talking of Boycott and Barrington"
Will see how we get on tonight facing Oman.

Re: T20 World Cup Cricket
Thank goodness, because of the rain we actually managed to play Namibia and beat them. If it had been rained off there would have been too many "ifs and buts" but we have ended up being 2nd in our group so able to go to the next round
Oh yes, Ken's favourite bowler played and he got a wicket

Whoopy Doo
Afghanistan are through to the Semi Finals for the very first time having beaten Bangladesh by 8 runs
Wouldn't it be AMAZING if the Final was between England and Afghanistan along with my two favourite captains. We can but hope.
