Possible marriage for Joseph Garratt in 1868 6th April. (?)ford Place, Glasgow. Joseph Garratt, Chain Maker journeyman, bachelor, 32, 52 ? Road, Glasgow. Father, James Garratt, Chain MakerForeman deceased. Mother, Elizabeth Garratt MS Scriven deceased. (I got that surname from IGI, its hard to read on this!)

re. peterd. Ebeneezer GARRATT b. 29.10.1872 Glasgow. may be deceased before 1881 cen. (gap of 4 yrs in Thomas Garratt & Martha Spittle's childrens birth dates 1871 - 1875).....Lot of Garratt interchange between Rowley and Glasgow, but still no sign of Thomas b. 1845

The way we work this is that if we have gone as far as we can with the thread we archive pending either look up or certif obtained
and then you only have to pm a moderator ie Myself Peterd or Mallosa and I we will bring it back

but as the turnaround on the certifs is rapid I can leave this for a few days and then you can let us know the outcome
