I had seen that too!
we went, a good few years ago but never went in. I feel it was closed.
Very sad for new owners but very odd too?

Re: Crooked House Pub
In the Telegraph paper -
Britain's “wonkiest pub” was subject to a request for listed status protection just one week before it burnt down.
The Crooked House in the Black Country was a popular attraction, but the building was gutted by fire just one month after Marston's sold the site to developers intending to change its use.14 hours ago
Everyone thought it was

Re: Crooked House Pub
The (Crooked House) was originally a farm house built 1765. It became a public house called the Siden House, then it became known as the Glynne Arms after the local landowner, Sir Stephen (Richard) Glynne, on whose land it stood. The pub was always known as the Crooked House to the Black Country folk and it wasn't until 2002 that it was formerly renamed The Crooked House.

You didn't need too much booze to make you feel dizzy when sitting in that pub

I've been following this story and am appalled by what's gone on!

It looks to me, who ever bought it , it was just for the land, with the intension of demolishing the buildings.

Re: Crooked House Pub
We all know that
they the mysterious owners (do not want to be named) even put mounds of soil down to slow the fire brigade- but it could be vandals
Hopefully it will be rebuilt
We have to wait to find out from land registry who the new developer owners are
