Sorry I have just noticed my spelling error - I meant Raiby not Rainy.
My cousin has stayed with Davies as a spelling and also Randle as that is dominant. One of Jane's children Gertrude is called Gertrude Randall Payton by the family but only Gertrude appears on the Birth Registration although she does use the initial R on occasion.
There are several queries about the Randle/Davies/Payton family which my cousin has noticed while we have been doing this but I think it is probably better to start a new thread

Ok Frodo.
Shall we archive this and go from there? It will still be here in the archive?

I think so, I can always open a new query and refer back to it if necessary.
