You would have to buy the cert for the marriage of Louisa to see who she puts if anyone as father.

Who did Caroline marry?

Caroline Rosanna Parkes b.1831 in Edgbaston and died in 1872 in Birmingham. She married my 2nd gt. grandfather Thomas Doody no middle name also splet as Dudey (among variations) in 1852 in Aston. They had eight children.

I'm still trying to work out where William Parkes and Jane Golborn fit in with James Parkes and Rosanna.

The marriage for Caroline and Thomas Doody gives her father as William Parkes a Spoon Cuffer? not James.

Have you got the correct family ?

Her baptism record gives James Parkes her father and Rosannah as mother. Born 28 June 1831 and christening on 7th November 1836 St. Philips Birmingham. Address Dartmouth Street and father's occupation Polisher.

I went by the christening record to be correct and not the marriage cert. One of the witnesses is Ann Dudy who is the sister of Thomas.
