Hello forum,
I'm trying to find a marriage for my ancestor Sarah Mitchison (b.1833) who was my ggg-grandmother.
She married a Robert Mattinson (b.1833, also from Cumberland), but I can't find anything on the IGI family search or on ancestry.co.uk.
Please could somebody have a look for me as I've been going around in circles with no luck!

where are the census showing where they were living or born ?

Hi peterd,
I got the information off my nan's grandmother's' birth certificate. It says they were living in High Lorton, Cockermouth, County of Cumberland. It has Robert Mattinson as a brewers drayman in Cockermouth for occupation. And his wife is listed as Sarah Mattinson formerly Mitchison.

Hi Jo,
No I don't think she married before. I do know she was born in Carlisle and since there is a marriage with a Robert Mattieson around the right time (in Carlisle) I'm hoping this is the correct match!
