I have an Albert Laker b 1844 West Grinstead, bap 29th September 1844, son of John & Ruth.
I have him with his parents on census for 1851 and as a footman in the household of Henry B Walmsley in Paddington, Middlesex for 1861.
In 1864 at St George, Bloomsbury I have a marriage to Sarah Bower, daughter of Robert Bower possibly b 1843 in Slough, Bucks (date & place from possible 1871 census record) and a possible death from FreeBMD June quarter of 1870 (although the age is inaccurate).
There is the possible 1871 census with Sarah Laker as a Widow with two daughters, Louisa & Florence, at 135 Church St. Paddington. There is a FreeBMD entry for Florence in 1869 but I can't find one for Louisa.
Then, in 1872 there is a christening of Mary Laker with parents Albert & Sarah of 102 Cavendish St. but again I can't find the birth.
I can't find any of them in 1881 census.
Can anyone find any other info on them.

Re: Albert Laker.
Ive looked and not come up with anymore than you have SRD.
I cant think now but one child is down as deaf and dumb. Florence may be, wonder if she may may be in an institute under F L? Run out of time to look.
