*Please Archive* - Ancestors' Week 21st - 27th June

Post by mallosa »

The idea of Ancestors Week stems from a discussion between a few of us on this forum.
It was said that we have Mothers day Fathers Day etc and we wondered about a national ancestors day where we might remember all those who made us who we are.
This then lead to Ancestors Week, favoured by some because it would enable those who would like to participate, to organise events etc.

It doesn't matter who or where you are in the world, we all have ancestors. More people than ever are venturing into Genealogy and we felt that others would also be interested.

We will be launching Ancestors Week on the 21st June 2009

Next year - The T-Shirt

Midnight Blue with Gold Lettering

On the front: perhaps in a half circle.............. ANCESTORS WEEK
and right underneath
..................................... 21-27th June

On the back: ................................... In whose footsteps we tread (with 2 small footprints, leading off)

Hope you will be marking it with us

Cheers
Mally, Linell, Northern Lass and Annie

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

I saw on the news the other week that one town/city is wanting to drop the comma's and apostrophe :o , so I suppose anything goes these day's.
