Here are 2 marriages (both on the same day & year) 28 October 1792
Would you agree that it looks like Joseph Evans & William Smart were witnesses at each others wedding?

my thoughts....

Q: If Joseph was born abt 1771 he would have only been aged 21 when he married in 1792. On the marriage to Elizabeth Smith he was a Widower but a bachelor on Elizabeth Foley marriage and (he signed) which ties in with the 1841 census, him being a Clerk?

So I think the Elizabeth Foley marriage could be the correct one.

Witness at Sarah Foley and Joseph Smart marriage in 1825 is a Thomas Foley

wife of Joseph Evans is Elizabeth Foley so maybe Sarah Foley is Aunt to Sarah?
