Hi,
I am looking for POW records of an ancestor that was captured onboard a DEIC Ship the Held Woltemade by Commodore George Johnstone on 1 July 1781 during the Fourth Anglo Dutch War. The ship with its valuable cargo was taken as a prize and the DEIC Skipper was repatriated in 1783 back to Holland. If someone can point me to a database or archive where I can search for any records. The ship was taken to Portsmouth or Plymouth and arrived there in 1782.

Have you tried the National Archives?
They have ship's papers https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov. ... de&_p=1700 and also some other stuff https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov. ... ldanha+Bay You might turn up something if you search for the right thing.
