Hi NL, I have Esther's parents as Richard Homer and Phoebe. The Marriage Witness Elizabeth Parkes is Daniel's sister nee Gill. Linell.

There's only one on the IGI to Phoebe Brown 23.10.1825 St Thomas.

Hi all,
Thanks for the look-ups. On the 1851 Dudley Census there is a Richard and Phoebe Homer, Richard's age 69 which would make him born abt. 1782, Phoebe listed as 60 something(bad smudge) can't make out her age. Esther age 16, so think this could be the right family. Esther married Charles Bridgewater St. Martin Tipton 1853. Esther is on the 1861 census with husband Charles and 3 children. I'll check the 1841 census for the Homers.

Hi Mary Ann, Esther gives her place of birth in 1871 as Dudley, Cradley in 1881 (don't think that is correct) but in 1891 she says Cinderbank and Netherton in 1901. I am positive it is this family, they are in Cinderbank Netherton Dudley in 1841:-

So doesnt look like it is that Richard Homer we have on already

Ok Mary Ann do you fancy adding Phoebe to connections
unelss we are sure it is Pheobe Brown put Pheoeb unknown and in notes add that marriage
then add the 1841 and 1851 census and family from that

that would be a big help ....only if you have time

Well, I posted The 1841 & 1851 Census for Richard and Phoebe, but as for the marriage in 1825 I don't know. The 1841 census shows a son Daniel age 20, making him born abt 1821, 4 years before Phoebe Brown and Richard Homer got married. Maybe she's a second wife? Or maybe Daniel is not their son?

forget now did we have a bapt for him? with mother Phoebe?

Is his age consistent with 1821 remembering the rounding down in 1841?
if he is b 1821 and they marry 1825 ...may or may not be son
