Hello,

I'm new to Genealogy Forum UK - thanks for allowing me to join. :-)
My main interest at the moment is BROOKES/BROOKS.

On the off-chance that I might find a connection to my own family, (and in the process of working towards getting pre-1500 certification on WikiTree)
I have decided to research a John Brookes, born about 1705 in Great Alne, Warks, who married an Elizabeth Mogg on 24 Nov 1739 in Kinwarton, Warks.

I've found this marriage record, both on Ancestry, and Find My Past, but GRO and Free BMD don't have any records pre-1837.
I have found a John BROOKES, baptised in St Mary, Warwick on 11 Mar 1706 in Find My Past - but that's about it.

I know nothing more about this John than this. If anyone has any clues how I might find out more about him, I'd be very grateful.
