Def While if you go right back to his ancestor John While 1774 in BCC but the name was always Wild or While to start with they were illiterate

I have looked at the 1911 Census and the names are clear - WHILE. I believe that the detailed schedules on-line are filed in by the house holders, so the signature is original.
