This is confusing, but there may be a coincidence ...

Looking at Births in Dudley between 1890 and 1900 recorded on GRO there are a lot of Smiths with mother Tromans, and clearly a number of families. On the 1901 Census for Roland Tromans William Smith is born 1871 and his wife is Ann. The other William Smith was born 1865. Could Ann be another of Roland's daughters - Ann born 1873? So is it just a coincidence that two of Roland's daughters married a William Smith?
