COMPLETED 1939 Register - Smethwick

Post by BC Wench »

As much as it pains me to say, I give in :(

Can anybody see this couple please in the 1939 Register.
Edward Philip Cash (born c1875) and his wife Eliza Ann Cash (born 1873).

Edward Philip Cash was buried 21 March 1940 and Eliza Ann Cash nee Haynes was buried 2 June 1949, both in the same grave at Uplands Cemetery, Smethwick both lived at 96 Middlemore Road, Smethwick. This is definitely the correct Eliza Ann as I have a four generation photo with her on it where she is still alive in 1948.

1901 Census they were living in Middlemore Road, Smethwick and 19l1 Census at 22 Bridge Street, Smethwick.

They had a fair few children who were all married by 1939 and Edward & Eliza weren't living with them. I've had a virtual walk up and down Middlemore Road but can't see a No: 96 (it ends at No: 90) and no sign of them.

Speak to me Granny Cash :-)

Can you tell me the Enumeration District letter code you are looking at RF please? I found Middlemore Road in ED letter code OMCH and I've also found part of the road in ED letter code OMCD.

Cheers.

Both are ED OMCG Smethwick CB 271 B1 on the heading in FMP its a mystery  How to solve it is the problem :!: Some other Cashs lived in 93 Middlemore Road in 1890s and were baptised at local methodist church Halford Lane (Free Reg) Best wishes RF

Thanks very much RF. Middlemore Road is in various Enumeration Districts :(

Anyway, I've contacted FMP to see if they can help as I can't see Edward & Eliza anywhere at all on the register.

Thanks also for the Cash baptisms, but they don't appear to be in my tree.
