ARC TBC Which Nancy married John Adams (22/12/1771 -3

Hi,

Using Family Search, I have come across Nancy Hingley (B: 1773) marrying John Adams at St. Thomas, Dudley on 14th November, 1791, which would put her at an ideal age to marry and have children plus she also came from the Rowley area.

There are others saying they think its Nancy Woodward (B: 1773 - 11/2/1857) as the one marrying John Adams at Oldswinford on 7th September 1817, which would make her 44 years old so not exactly child bearing age, is it?

I am not sure where to go next, in order to identify which Nancy married John Adams?

Seeing that Nancy Woodward was a widow, that she married a John Adams in 1817, then those children from William born in 1792 up till Jabez born in 1715 wouldn't have been her children? Only the last two, Ann Matilda (B 1818) and Thomas (B 1820) are a possibility but at her age??

Just a thought, perhaps she, Nancy Woodward, married another John Adams not our John Adams (22 December 1771 - 3 July 1857)?

Any advice will be very much appreciated.

On BCC we have a Nancy Hingley, connecting to Linnel. Linnel mentions a will John Adams is mentioned in it I have underlined it below

James Hingley lived in Cradley Heath, he amassed a considerable property portfolio. In his Will he specified how Ten Tenanted Messuages were to be divided between his three sons, Samuel, James and Thomas, daughter Hannah Fellows, Phoebe's husband Samuel Mason and Nancy's husband John Adams. Son Joseph was not mentioned , it is possible that Jospeh had left the area under a cloud? James left his daughter Phoebe Mason and husband Samuel a property in Lawrence Lane Old Hill, Nancy Adams and husband John inherited a property at Hell Bank Oldswinford

Many thanks for the link to the tribalpages.com. I clicked on Nancy Hingley's name and it doesn't show her marriage to John Adams apart from that mention of them in the will. Need more evidence that it is the same John Adams (22 December 1771 - 3 July 1857), father of my ancestor Jabez Adams. At the moment, I do feel that there is a strong possibility that it is Nancy Hingley who married our John Adams although they used to live at The Hill, Halesowen, Worcestershire.

Iam going to connect with a note on Bcc we had a note of this previously but I hadn't seen that note in will looks good for

Apparently Nancy's father James Hingley's will (on BCC) backs up the marriage of John Adams, a seedsman and Nancy Hingley but I cannot find the actual will so it would be great if someone could post the link to the will?
