ARC TBC THE Brick Wall Kidd Family

Good evening fellow enthusiasts!

I am hoping for some assistance in searching for my GG Uncle - Robert Frederick Kidd, born 28th May 1895 in Tynemouth, Northumberland.... not to be mistaken for his father who is also Robert Frederick Kidd (1856-1923).

I have established that he joined the army and served in the Devonshire Regiment, then the King's African Rifles, finally joining a officers regiment in Sudan. However, on July 17th 1931 he was 'removed from the Army. His Majesty having no further occasion for his services.'... Firstly; I have no idea what that actually means, but more importantly, there doesn't seem to be any record of him after this point. Surely he couldn't have vanished?

ANYTHING beyond here would be wonderful.

Well that’s embarrassing!

I have honestly spent so long on this chap and couldn’t find him in the ‘39 register. Hopefully this will help with finding dates of death/children etc.
