ARC TBC 1939 Register - Hingley family

Post by SRD »

Please would someone be kind enough to look up the following in the 1939 Register
Anthony Brian Hingley b 1926
Horace James Hingley b 1897
Fanny Louise Hingley b 1896

They were probably all in the same household in Cradley Heath.

Thanks

Ambulance Driver :o they wouldn't have let her do that if they'd seen her driving down Cradley Heath High Street at 5mph in her Wolsely.

Thanks a lot, I wonder where there son Anthony Brian was.

Anthony may have been evacuated- as dad and mom were in ARP? not registered while in transit?

Times were very bleak in those days and she must have been a very brave woman -even at 5 mph

Quite possibly, but he was at Quarry Bank Grammar School at the time and there was never any talk of him being evacuated, in fact there were tales of him bringing home schrapnel from bomb sites.

Correction to the above, his primary school was Quarry Bank, he would have been at Brierley Hill Grammar in 1939.
