ARC TBC 1939 REGISTER HART LOOK UP PLEASE

Post by Silver surfer »

Can anyone find D Hart, either with D as first or second Christian name in the Lye, Wollescote area of Stourbridge in 1939 please? D Hart served in WW2 so could have been any age from 15-30. Don't Know if D was male or female but was down as killed in the war and is remembered on memorial plaque in Christ Church Lye. Know its a long shot as there were a few other named D Harts from the area K I A. Thanks

Ray Griffiths has researched all the names on the window and outside monument but D Hart is the only one he cant find info on. He is 91 and was born in the area and gave a wonderful presentation at the church Tues night. He served with some of the people named.
The only way I can think of tracing is D Hart might be on 1939 register with his/her family in Lye.

Thanks for info abt photo but I do have some of the stained glass windows inside church.

Nice window and memorial should be a record of who inscribed it to get the names :?:
Otherwise D Hart is Def on the GRO List All need to be checked -probably done so
Probably died abroad so no Lye connection on record

Thanks Jimmy the Lye family looked promising but think found deaths for father & son David in 1946 & 1967 at Stourbridge, ages fit. Found 2 marriages for a Dora but both had middle names & if born 1910 would have been quite old. There are no deaths for a Dora Hart in Stourbridge so did she marry or die unmarried, I wonder. Wonder if the female nurse on the window was Dora.
