The BBC do a thorough job they spend a fortune on searches of Archives usually to no avail and they have this advice for searching for family - http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/familyhist ... h_01.shtml

Hi
I have no personal recommendation for you - I've only ever paid to have searches done in specific archives.
But I saw this person advertising on another family history site https://www.bordermemories.co.uk/ You could maybe contact them and ask the prices. I expect it costs quite a bit though.

Re: Professional Geneolagy Services...
Thank-you. i have contacted the website given and i have suggested that i will provide them with all the data i have, what ideally i'm looking for & requested that they review the file and then estimate the cost to proceed in specific area's. Thought this might be a fair way for them to estimate the cost. Will keep the post informed.
